As a group of passionate experts in their respective fields, the Connecting4Good management team have come together to harness their skill sets to aid corporate and community transformation.
Lana Roy: Board Member
Lana is an innovative people person with strong marketing, sales, leadership and organisational skills. In the past 20 years, Lana has helped countless corporations from financial institutions, retailers, parastatels, to charities and schools to improve revenue by developing specialised marketing and sales techniques specifically tailored for that organisation. She has won numerous sales awards for her efforts in these organisations.
Lana’s ability to produce corporate, social and fundraising events is an asset to the Connecting4Good team. She is a connector, a facilitator and is business minded. Her passion for social upliftment has lead her to her to occupying her position as Board Member of Connecting4Good.
Thabiso Mufhandu: Community Liaison
Thabiso is a community development expert. In her 15 years’ experience, she has partnered with project stakeholders, rural community members, tribal leaders, government, provincial leaders, departments of social development and NGO’s. She is experienced at implementing sustainable grass root initiatives and driving transformation.
Thabiso was instrumental in creating the mission of the Lonely Road Foundation to build 20 drop-in centres for over 4000 orphans and vulnerable children. Her community development skills extend to training, facilitating partnerships and community relationship management. As our leader on the ground, Thabiso is a key asset to the Connecting4Good team.
Allen Kyokugira: Corporate General Manager
Allen is a development Specialist. She has 10 years experience working with international NGO’s and community based organisations in Australia and throughout Africa. She is proficient in managing relationships with multinationals, corporates, government officials and program beneficiaries. Much of her career has been spent building the capacities of grass root organisations. Some of Allen’s functions have been to set up knowledge management systems, implement corporate governance, facilitiated education & children’s protection programs.
Allen is passionate about results and creating sustainable change in the lives of the less fortunate. Having worked in many countries in Africa, she understands cross culture issues in development. She has learned the benefit of creating long lasting partnerships between corporates and NPO’s.
Judy Tipograph: General Manager
Judy is American born, bred and educated. She has a long history with South Africa as she arrived for the first time in 1980. Her formal studies were in Spanish and Sociology, yet her career has allowed her work across several industries. Judy’s varied career has been spent in hospitality, software and entertainment artist management. She was involved with the first hotel computer systems in Africa for five years. She shifted gears on her return to the US and joined one of the busiest artist management firms, with a roster including New Kids on the Block and Boyz II Men, to name a just a few. In 2003, Judy returned to SA to manage operations for HTI, the largest local hospitality software company in Africa.
In 2013, it was time for a change, and Judy looked for a new challenge, away from the corporate world. She found it with a small NPO, working with a rural, impoverished community in Limpopo. That was both an eye-opener and a turning point for Judy. She believes that South Africa has been very good to her both personally and professionally, so she is passionate about returning the kindness.
